Introduction
Florida is not often associated with the American Revolution. However despite that, Florida was included in the war. Though Florida was not a colony of America yet, it was owned by the Spanish. The Spanish did not like the British and therefore took the side of the colonists during the Revolution. Though they only participated within Florida there was still a campaign that took place within the state. Even though the activities in Florida might have been small in scope, they were still a part of the war and often get overlooked. Therefore this exhibit will look at a few items that showcase events and perspectives of those that were involved in the Florida campaign of the war.
